“Tell me of the man, O Muse, the man of many ways.”
These are the words with which Odysseus' journey begins.
The Ἄνδρα μοι ἔννεπε, Μοῦσα necklace draws its inspiration from those opening words, from the voice of the Muse who begins the song and entrusts to memory the story of a man, his journey, and his endless longing for home.
At the heart of the necklace, a delicate lyre adorned with zircon crystals holds a small, intricately worked rectangular pendant, engraved with the original Greek opening of the Odyssey:
Ἄνδρα μοι ἔννεπε, Μοῦσα, πολύτροπον
Along the chain, two leafy branches unfold on either side, evoking nature and the distant lands encountered along the journey. They are accompanied by two freshwater pearls and two faceted sodalite beads, whose deep blue tones recall the sea stretching between Ithaca and the shores beyond.

The Roots of the Myth 🌿
The opening of the Odyssey
Ἄνδρα μοι ἔννεπε, Μοῦσα, πολύτροπον — “Tell me of the man of many ways”: these are the opening words of the Odyssey, through which the poem begins the story of Odysseus and his long journey home.
The invocation of the Muse belongs to the ancient epic tradition: the poet calls upon divine inspiration to give voice to a story greater than the memory of any single mortal.
Opening Nóstos with these words is therefore deliberate. Before the journey comes the telling of the journey; before the hero comes the voice that calls him forth and preserves his story.
The lyre, an emblem of poetry and song, evokes this narrative dimension, while the leafy branches, pearls, and deep tones of sodalite recall the natural world and the sea that will accompany Odysseus throughout his voyage.
The inscription is deliberately preserved in its original Ancient Greek, like a small fragment of an ancient manuscript transformed into a piece of jewellery.
